Based on the operating environment and protection level, they can be divided into ordinary open-type and sealed-type. Ordinary types are suitable for dry, clean indoor environments; sealed-type switches achieve dustproof, moisture-proof, and even water-proof effects through the addition of sealing rings or potting processes, meeting the stringent requirements of outdoor equipment and vehicle systems. Some models also possess flame-retardant, UV-resistant, or corrosion-resistant properties, expanding their application to specialized fields such as chemical and transportation.

In terms of functional expansion, variations such as those with indicator lights, self-locking types, and multi-position switching types are available on the market. Indicator lights provide a clear visual display of the operating status; self-locking types allow the switch to remain in the position after being pressed, requiring a second press to reset, suitable for scenarios requiring continuous power supply; multi-position types support switching between two or more states for complex process control.

Overall, the classification system of rocker switches reflects a comprehensive balance of electrical parameters, mechanical structure, and application environment, providing clear guidance for users to select appropriate products in different scenarios and promoting the deep penetration of this component in diversified industries.
